Blog Post 14: Final Project Idea

 As my final project, I have settled on the idea of a student film that takes place in the year 2010 meant to archive the average life of a teenager and his friend group within said period. After much thought and consideration I figured making it a Satire/Comedy would be best suited for the project, partly due to how versatile it would be to create a project with those genres. I feel with two comedy based genres I am able to creatively implement ideas most efficient. I have in mind for the project to revolve around an average teenage friend group of early 2010, and their vlog footage being what is presented.

I feel like this project will be unique outside of the traditional scopes of comedy and satire because of the dynamic between the people in my project, all of which are real life friends, which I believe will make interactions between them infinitely more natural. I feel this project will be different from others due to the plot, although having blog style films are common, one set in the early 2010's has not really been delved into much. I feel this will add to the uniqueness of my final product.

For the project I have set in mind to make the filming style like that of a vlog, a hybrid between a Pseudo-documentary and found footage film styles. I figured this would be the best course of action as it would be the best , I feel inspired by the filming style of films like The Blair Witch Project and Creep.
