Blog Post 15: Final Project Mood Board
Final Project
Mood Board
For my final project I created a mood board that embodies the overall feel I want to convey wit my project. To represent the general aesthetic of my project, I chose pictures of Domo, an iPod Touch, Black Eye Peas' The E.N.D., and Awesome Face. All of which I have a deep nostalgic connection to as they were some of the only things I personally remember from 2010. Domo and the iPod serve as props for the project as well, alongside the Fushigi ball, these items being that of what I and my brother used to own from 2010, this they will be featured within the project. For fashion I've chosen two photos of different friend groups, the costumes in my project will be inspired by such fashion, which was popular around the late 2000's. For Locations I chosen Pembroke Lakes Mall and Miramar Regional Park. I chose those two locations for their versatility and easy accessibility. The photo with the three kids on it will serve as a demonstration for the lighting I will use, hard lighting from the flash of a digital camera
My project's aesthetic is partly rooted in my personal memories of 2010, a little time capsule of my childhood that I aim to bring to life through carefully my chosen elements. When making my mood board, I deliberately selected items locations that I personally have had experienced. - from the quirky charm of Domo to the technological marvel that was my iPod Touch. Aside from personal experience, I chose these items specifically as to maintain authenticity to the time period the project is supposedly recorded, I'm implementing harsh flash photography lighting, reminiscent of the digital cameras. I feel all these elements will effortlessly come together to make a really unique end product.
