Blog Post 12: Brainstorming
With my progress of working alone for my project I was able to do some serious brainstorming, and was able to conjure up a number of ideas on what I want to create. Although, after much thought and consideration I have been able to limit my own my ideas into two possible introductions.
Idea 1:
For my first Idea I have in mind on creating an introduction to a student film that takes place in the year 2010 meant to archive the average life of a teenager within said period. This has always been a sort of passion project idea of mine, and I figured now could be a good opportunity to finally put it into practice. I figure it would be appropriate for this introduction to be energetic, and fast paced, so I intend to include a variety of shots and some B footage. Since I am alone in the making of this project I figure I could be able to gather some of my friends in order to help with extras in my shot. I also intend on composing the music of my intro, using my recording software and instruments, that is if I have enough time to put that into practice. If I do end up choosing this idea I want it to be titled, "Project 2010"
Idea 2:
As for my second idea, I have in mind of creating a slow, one shot introduction to an indie thriller.
this is another idea I've always in a way wanted to put in practice, so I figure no better opportunity than for this project. I was so inspired by the establishing dolly shot of A Clockwork Orange, that I wanted to do something in similar fashion. Unlike A Clockwork Orange though, I want this to be a a follow shot of the aftermath of the base of a group of vigilantes, displaying the props throughout the setting as the camera very slowly glides through everything, I also intent on using classical or funeral music for this introduction if possible.
